When we first reported that Miley Cyrus was dating Canadian actor Avan Jogia, many people’s response was: “who?” And when the steamy photo of the couple making out at Miley’s birthday party surfaced, people’s response was, again: ”wait, who?” We’re here to shed some light on the identity of Miley’s new dude.
Avan, 18, is from Vancouver (aka Twilight production Mecca) and like Miley, he’s in the entertainment business. Most recently, he’s been co-starring on the hit Nickelodeon show Victorious. But these are all just basic facts. If we really wanted to get to know Avan, we simply have to turn to his Formspring page for some in-depth Q&As from fans… and that’s exactly what we did. From combing through his profile, we learned that Avan goes “clubbing” in the UK sometimes, but admits he’s not too big on it. He does, however, enjoy “pubs, bars, and lounges.” Other interesting facts: He thinks the term “celebrity” is overrated (you do know who you’re dating, right Avan?) and he does not wear a purity ring. But the most interesting little nugget of info we got was his philosophy on dating within the entertainment industry: “I think I would like to keep it as private as possible, but that’s almost impossible nowadays,” he recognizes.
