Is Joe Jonas Apologizing To Demi Lovato In His New Song, ‘I’m Sorry’?

Joe Jonas says his new song, “I’m Sorry,” is about one of his relationships. Is he finally apologizing to Demi Lovato, or is it an ode to one of his other celebrity girlfriends?

We all know Joe Jonas isn’t exactly going to win the “Best Boyfriend” award. From Taylor Swift to Ashley Greene, Joe has famously fallen out of love just as quickly as he falls in. The notorious play boy says he’s about to apologize to one of his sweethearts in his new song, “I’m Sorry” — but will it be about the one girl he hurt the most?

“‘I’m Sorry’ is really honest,” Joe, 21, told E! Online’s Marc Malkin June 16. “It’s saying, I screwed up. I didn’t cheat on the person, but just I messed up and I wanted the person back. I’m just putting it all on the table saying, ‘I’m sorry. I wish I could have you back.’”

Joe dramatically dumped his girlfriend, former best friend and co-star, Demi Lovato, last year, only to join her on tour months later and bring along his new girlfriend, Ashley Greene. Demi, 18, subsequently, suffered from a breakdown, quit the tour and shipped off to treatment in Chicago for “emotional and physical issues.” Although Joe didn’t technically do anything wrong, it’s widely presumed he played some role in Demi’s problems.

“Those kind of songs are really hard because you know that person is going to hear it,” he said. “[But] I’ve never really reached out to somebody about a song. I feel every artist is entitled to write honestly. So I’ve never reached out to them unless they reached out to me.”

Out of all the girls he’s dated, I think Joe owes Demi an apology most. She was more than just a random girl he dated — she was a family friend, a co-worker and most importantly, she considered him one of her best friends. Even if he didn’t actually cheat on her with Ashley, he disrespected her by flaunting his new girlfriend in Demi’s face while they were on tour. It was insensitive and rude!

Inside Ashley Greene's Romantic Birthday Weekend

Before she whooped it up with pals at Las Vegas' PURE Nightclub on Saturday, Ashley Greene's birthday weekend kicked off with a low-key dinner at STK in West Hollywood on Friday.

Organized by her beau Joe Jonas, a source tells UsMagazine.com that the Disney star visited Greene's "favorite restaurant" earlier in the afternoon to oversee every last detail -- including arranging for a scrapbook and a bouquet of flowers to be on display when they arrived together later that evening.


"This is her first birthday they've spent as a couple, so he wanted to make sure everything was perfect," the insider says. "He was really sweet and conscientious, making sure everything worked out okay."

Jonas was heard explaining to pals that Ash was busy filming Breaking Dawn in Louisiana and he was missing her a lot.

A good bud close to the couple says Joe and Ashley are tighter than ever.

"I don't think he's ever been happier in a relationship before," dishes a source. "We're actually surprised at how serious it's getting."

Let's talk "LOL." We saw a lot of photos of you guys filming on location in Europe. Between "Twilight" fans and Miley fans, did you guys have to deal with a lot of paparazzi and people hanging outside set?

Greene: Miley is a phenomenon — she's accomplished so much in the movie, TV and music worlds that it's not surprising how much attention was attracted during filming. But we're both professional and understand that we're there to do our jobs. Work was our number-one priority, and everything else was background.

MTV: You've become a fashion icon in young Hollywood, and your "LOL" character certainly has a distinctive fashion style. Did you get to pick out any of your outfits? Keep anything? Become inspired by any of those looks?

Greene: I definitely have a say in them, but it's more about what fits my character than me personally. In "LOL," my character, Ashley, wears some pretty outrageous and provocative outfits that I'd never wear in real life! With Alice Cullen, we got to draw on Audrey Hepburn and Jackie O inspirations, which is a bit more me.

Ashley Greene: Why Joe Jonas Brought Knives on a Plane

As Joe Jonas and Ashley Greene prepared to fly out of Abu Dhabi over the weekend, the 21-year-old Camp Rock 2 star mistakenly placed some knives in his carry-on luggage. "We were going from the Middle East to New York, so [there was] tons of security, tons of screenings," Greene, 23, recalled on Lopez Tonight Tuesday. "We got through one, surprisingly enough." By the time they reached the second checkpoint, the Twilight actress says airport security "looked at us with these stern faces like, 'What's in your bag?'" Remembering that Jonas, an avid cook, had purchased a cheese-cutting knife set during their trip, Greene asked her beau of four months if he'd accidentally put them in the wrong bag. Jonas' response: "Whoopsies!" "Whoopsies doesn't cut it," Greene laughed. "We were going to get arrested!"


After explaining the mix-up, security allowed Jonas to stow his knife set under the plane. "It was embarrassing," Greene added.

Fans of the 18-year old singer initially jumped to unfortunate conclusions and blamed Demi's ex for dating Greene so soon after he and Lovato broke up. The criticism has since died down, allowing these two to focus on their relationship. Which, sources confirm, is going extremely well. E! News quotes a friend that says Ashley's parents have met Joe and simply adore him. Look for this couple to spend the holidays together. "They are happy as ever right now," says the pal.

It has been rumored that Demi Lovato has a problem with Ashley Greene because she supposedly stole Joe Jonas away from her. Is has also been rumored that Demi Lovato is jealous of Ashley Greene because she feels Greene is more beautiful than her and has a better body.



Let's get this straight right now, Demi Lovato has nothing to be jealous about. Ashley Greene is good looking and has a great body but so does Demi Lovato. Lovato has a much more beautiful face than Ashley Greene and from the sounds of it a much better personality as well. Ashley Greene's face has too many angles. Her jawline looks like it could cut through steel. Lovato on the other hand has perfect features and stunning eyes. If I was a guy I would pick Lovato in a second.


I think the reason that Joe Jonas or any guy would pick Greene is because she looks easy. Just take a look at her last photo shoot, she's basically half naked and looking in to the camera like she is having sex with it. Guys will fall for that all the time even though the may be leaving the better woman.


Demi Lovato need to let go of any anger she has towards Greene and realize that she is the better woman of the two.
